Summer Camp Policies
The Art Garage Policies & Procedures:
- Refund Policy: Camp Deposits are non-refundable, we are reserving a space and materials for your child. Once your camp is within 3 weeks away, the remaining balance is due and therefore also non-transferable. Camps cannot be applied as credits towards other Art Garage services or other camps.
- Transfer Policy: Camp registrations may be transferred to a different week as long as the camp is more than 21 days away.
Families can transfer their registration directly through their online account, or you’re welcome to call us and we’re happy to help over the phone. A $25 administrative fee applies to each transfer. - Extended Care Policies: Pre-paid extended care is offered at a discounted rate and is therefore use-it-or-lose-it. No credits or refunds will be issued for unused time.
Extended care is offered in 1.5-hour blocks. We allow a 10-minute grace period for pick-up. If your child is still present after the grace period, the next block will be added.
Final pick-up time is 5pm. If your child remains after 5pm, a $20 late fee will be added every 10 minutes. - Behavior Policy: The Art Garage does not tolerate bullying of any kind. Campers who are unkind toward other campers or staff may be sent home.
- Electronics and Toys Policy: Electronics and toys are not allowed in the classroom. Your child may keep an electronic in their cubby or bag for communication purposes if needed.
Camp Reminders and Schedule:
- Camp Dates and Times: Monday through Friday, 10am to 2pm (except for holiday weeks due to closures)
- Extended Care in the Morning: Care is available at 8:30am. We do not accept drop offs between 9am and 10am. If you would like to participate in Morning Care, please arrive before 9am. Drop-ins are welcome! Just bring in your method of payment when you drop off your kiddo.
- Extended Care in the Afternoon: Care is available in two 1.5 hour blocks— 2-3:30pm and 3:30-5pm. There is a 10 minute grace period before the next block is added to your ticket. Drop-ins are welcome! Just bring in your method of payment when you pick up your kiddo.
- Lunch: Please pack a lunch and a snack for your child. Each class takes a lunch and a snack break during 10am-2pm camp time. If your kiddo is staying with us for extended care, you may want to pack an additional snack. It is also super helpful if your child’s items have their name on them. That way we can notify you about forgotten items! We do not have a microwave or fridge for camper use.
- Water: Please, send your kiddo with a water bottle. Our team is happy to refill it throughout the day if needed!
- Dress Code: Please send your child in clothes they are okay to get messy in. Some art materials we use do stain— don’t send your kiddo in their favorite outfit!
- Backpacks: Our space is limited for personal items to a small cubby, please only bring a lunch bag and water bottle. No backpacks please!
