Empty Bowls Project
The Art Garage is proud to sponsor the
Annual Empty Bowls Project in Dripping Springs!
What is the Empty Bowls Project?
The Empty Bowls Project is an international event to raise money and awareness to end the fight against hunger. In Central Texas, one in six people and a shocking one in four children are at risk for hunger. These numbers include Austin and Dripping Springs residents…people right here in our own city who do not have enough to eat.
Empty Bowls events are community gatherings where bowls have been created and donated by local artists for sale. Soup is donated by local chefs and restaurants, and communities come together to purchase bowls, enjoy a meal, and all proceeds from the event go to local food banks helping to fight hunger in their area. Artists using their skills for the good of their communities, y’all. Don’t you want to be a part of that?
