Real Art Curriculum
Here at The Art Garage, we are passionate about creating a space for children to experience art in a positive, encouraging, and engaging environment. We reach out to kids with projects that relate to where they are in life…artworks & artists that catch their attention, lessons that are meaningful, and heart-felt teaching that develops art skills as well as seeks to help kiddos develop personally, emotionally, and as a part of their community.
Art School is all about carefully planning activities, experiences, and projects that will help students to appreciate art in the world around them as well as experience art-making in a meaningful and exciting way. Our ratio for Art School is 9 students : 1 teacher, so that everyone has an individualized & fantastic experience.
Professional & Dedicated Staff
Art School is overseen by Miss Kelly, our fearless and deeply talented Art Garage mama. Kelly began The Art Garage in her garage at home, and has grown the business organically in so many exciting ways. Art School is the next step in our Art Garage journey, and we hope you’ll join us!
Miss Renai, who has her Texas Art Teaching Certification and graduated from UT Austin in 2013, has been teaching at The Art Garage for 6 years. Renai is most excited about getting to know her students over a longer period of time than Art Garage has offered in other programming, and she’s really excited for the depth with which we can explore art within all that wonderful time together.
